I’d just like to start off by saying that I love what I’m seeing from the site so far and am thrill to see such an active and aspiring Pokemon Mystery Dungeon community! With that said, I do have some questions. I’m sorry in advance for the long list, but I do hope staff is able to answer them all! 😊
- Is there a minimum word count requirement for players to meet with each post?
- Is evolution possible on Azure Skies? And if so, how does a character go about evolving?
- Do characters die of old age? If not, why is there an active aging mechanic at all, as opposed to having static ages? If it’s personal preference on staff’s part, that’s fine too! Just made me curious if there was some other reason for it.
- Is there a minimum or maximum age limit for characters upon creation? (ie, characters should be no younger than 3 years old and no older than 85)
- Other than posting once a week, are there any other requirements for high-ranking characters? For instance, is there an age limits, required number of posts, or species requirements?
- Can characters learn, forget, or relearn moves? If so, how does this mechanic work?
- How customizable are the characters’ appearances? Are players allowed to deviate from a Pokemon species’ standard color palette and features, or should they try to stick as close to the source material as possible?
- Are shiny Pokemon allowed as playable characters?
- Are there any banned Pokemon species that players are not allowed to create? Likewise, are there any limited Pokemon species that only players with special permission are allowed to create?
- Do characters have to be humans reincarnated, or can players create Pokemon that have always been Pokemon?
- I’d love some clarification on the history of humans in the world of Azure Skies? Are they generally considered to be deities? An extinct species (if so, roughly how long have humans been gone)? Fictional creatures from fairy tales?
- Do regular animals exist; and if so, to what capacity? Do all animals exist, or only certain species like milk cows and sheep? Can they be consumed? Can they be owned by Pokemon like pets?
- Do Pokemon eat one another, or do their diets largely consist of fruit, vegetables, and other natural-grown food?
- What are Mystery Dungeons? What makes them different from any other wilderness location on the continents?
- How do Mystery Dungeons work? (1) Are they stationary or can they teleport across their respective continents? (2) Are the entrances always open, or are there instances where the dungeons randomly close themselves off, are only open at certain times, or otherwise meed special requirements to enter? (3) Does the terrain inside a Mystery Dungeon shift; and if so, do the changes occur slowly of time, are they sudden and immediate, or maybe it depends on the dungeon?
- Should the events in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games be considered canon to Azure Skies lore, even though they aren't mentioned in the site lore?
- Is there an on-site economy? In other words, do characters have wallets and inventories that they need to take into consideration and manage when they go adventuring, or is it largely up to the player to decide whether or not their character is well-equipped for exploring?
- Is there a list of active adventuring guilds somewhere? Likewise, does each guild have its own guild hall, where the high-ranking leaders conduct business, assign adventures, and possibly even where the members sleep?
- On character applications, what does “group” mean? Is that the same as a guild, or is it referencing something else?
- Are solo threads allowed? (ie, closed threads for players to attempt solo adventures or to do some lone character development)
- What is the technology level in the world of Azure Skies, and is it consistent across all three continents? For example, is indoor lighting achieved via electric light bulbs or candles (and maybe bioluminescent algae for the sea continent)? Is long-range communication done via written mail, radio and landlines, cellphones, or maybe it’s not possible at all?
- What does the site’s rating actually mean? I can speculate as to what “swearing permitted with some limitations,” “mild sexual innuendos and references permitted,” and “mild violent references permitted” could mean, but knowing what exactly is and is not allowed would be great. (ie, how often can characters swear, is intercourse not allowed but sexual jokes are, are detailed battles disallowed but one-liners like “she beat up the enemies” are okay?)
- Are players required to join the Discord when joining the site?
