His only distinctive markings are the length and softness of his fur- incredibly soft- and the white streaks of fur by his left eye. He has some scars on his body, but his fur tends to hide most of it, with the exceptions being notches and scrapes on his ears. It's only when he's paired next to any other poochyena that it's obvious how different he really is. Darcy is not the same color as other poochyena. His coat is dark, shades and shades darker than what a "standard" poochyena looks like. If any of this bothers him, though, Darcy doesn't reveal it. He mainly regards the world around him with a quiet distance, eyes narrowed, scanning all those around him. In terms of approachability, he... isn't. [attr="class","explorerheader"]▸ PERSONALITY ◂ [attr="class","explorerbox"]Darcy is quiet- he isn't meek, or shy, but he is quiet. He doesn't speak much, unless he absolutely needs to. He spends his time listening instead, taking in all information he can before making decisions, and voicing his opinions. His opinions are mainly that of threat levels- jaded and paranoid, Darcy views the world through an "everyone is out to get me" lens, which hasn't failed him yet. He views kindness with an acerbic bitterness, taking it as the precursor to being hurt or otherwise used. In return, any cruelness directed at him is largely shrugged off- that's normal, and expected. [attr="class","explorerheader"]▸ FREEFORM ◂ [attr="class","explorerbox"]Does he resent that he was never allowed to evolve? Yes. Is it worth it, to know that his brother is safe? Yes. Was that enough to protect Kanon from him? No. One threat too many- the sableye had made some offhand remark, about the frailness of swoobat, the delicacy of their wings- and it was just him and Darcy in the room. And so Darcy had lunged. Darcy didn't have any sort of type advantage. But he had strength. Kanon never went out into the mystery dungeons himself, never went after marks on his own. He always sent Darcy. And Darcy was stubborn. When he chased down prey, he did not give up. When he sunk in his fangs, he did not let go. |
