What he doesn't tell you is that his fur is a little longer, especially on his tail. His thick black and white pelt hides the many scars covering his body. The only visible scarring can be seen on his snout and paws, and the rest can only be seen if he gets soaking wet. Unlike the rest of his species, Wayland tends to keep his mouth shut and his tongue inside. It slips out when he loses his temper, and he is prone to biting his tongue when this happens. [attr="class","explorerheader"]▸ PERSONALITY ◂ [attr="class","explorerbox"]Those unfortunate enough to know Wayland will first complain about everything they have 'lost' while he is around. If he wants it, he takes it. Even if he doesn't want it, he takes it. The impulse to steal is too great, and anything he happens to pickup likely has a different owner. Next they will tell you about his rough manner of speech. Despite the best efforts of his teachers at the orphanage, Wayland's sentences are often broken, the words simple. Large words confuse him, and confusion frustrates him. If he cannot convey himself with words, he'll talk with his forepaws, motioning and gesturing until he gets his point across. If all else fails, he gets mad. His temper is short, and he is quick to resort to violence. (Just feed him if he starts hissing. He's food motivated.) [attr="class","explorerheader"]▸ FREEFORM ◂ [attr="class","explorerbox"]Once there was an abandoned egg in the middle of the forest. The egg hatched before anyone could find it. The black and white Zigzagoon that came from it was nearly feral when he was found by explorers. He was coaxed with food and captured. A young Pokemon could be rehabilitated and reintroduced into society, so he was handed off to an orphanage specializing in cases like his. It took many years before the Zigzagoon, dubbed Wayland by the head of the orphanage, could leave. No one stepped forward to foster or adopt the unruly Zigzagoon, and he intentionally sabotaged any attempt by the headmaster to set something up. He and a couple of other youths banded together and caused mischief wherever they went. No amount of punishment seemed to correct their behavior. Wayland was the first to be discharged from the orphanage after aging out. He never met his ragtag crew of orphans again, and he left that town as soon as he scraped together enough funds. By doing legitimate work, you say? Why, he would never! He stole every last coin. Years passed him by, and evolution provided a stronger, faster form. His petty crimes continue even to this day, making him enough to get by as long as he gives the authorities the slip. |
